Royal Pains Off-Season Greetings, 2-hour movie event at 9pm on USA

– The comedy series about concierge doctor Hank and his brother Evan living and working in the Hamptons presents a Royal Wedding between Evan and his fair lady Paige. The couple is dreaming of a white wedding but they get more than they bargain for when a snow emergency threatens to ruin the wedding entirely.

The Bachelorette: Ashley and J.P.’s Wedding, special from 9 to 11pm on ABC

– Just when we thought that Trista from season 1 of The Bachelorette was the only successful marriage to result directly from the show, (technically, Jason did not choose Molly until after the finale but they are happily married thanks to the show), the boring and annoying Ashley takes the final step with her chosen J.P. Well, despite what people thought of her decision at the time, I think we can all agree she made the right choice in kicking Ben to the curb, no way that man would have gotten married! But forget the weepy dentist and her squinty-eyed paramour, it’s all about the reported guest list: Emily, Ames, Sean, Michelle Money, Stagliano, and Holly. Drama is sure to ensue as Michael Stagliano and his ex-fiance Holly, the woman who broke his heart and announced her engagement to another man on the Bachelor Pad finale while a shocked and devastated Michael (who happened to be her partner!) watched, will be at the wedding ceremony, no doubt one very similar to the one they were planning to have until she broke it off, ouch. Sneak an invite to super-villain Bentley and gather around a skankarific hot tub and you’ve got the best-ever episode of Bachelor Pad.

1600 Penn, sneak peek at 9:30pm on NBC

– Modern Family meets The West Wing in this election-year comedy from Emmy-winning executive producer/director Jason Winer (Modern Family). The Gilchrists are just the average American family dealing with all the everyday issues, like a grown kid who’s forced to move back home, teenagers who are smarter than their teachers and a stepmom (Jenna Elfman) desperately trying to win over the kids. They’re loving, fun and a little crazy. In other words, just like everyone else – with one exception: they live in a very special house. The White House! Whether it’s entertaining foreign dignitaries, holding secret cabinet meetings or putting out fires – figuratively and sometimes literally – there’s never a dull moment in the Gilchrist White House. For example, the First Son (Josh Gad, star of the Broadway sensation “The Book of Mormon”) is one of the administration’s biggest liabilities but also the glue that holds this family together. The President (Bill Pullman) knows too well that the only thing harder than being Head of State is being head of the family.

– The country trio hosts this annual adoption awareness special now in its 14th year. Rachel Crow, Melissa Etheridge, Matchbox Twenty and Phillip Phillips will perform. Wayne Brady, Kevin Frazier and Jillian Michaels are among those who will present during this moving Holiday special which tells inspirational stories about adoption and from Foster Care.

Cheer Perfection, series premiere at 10pm on TLC

– This new reality series takes viewers inside the world of high-stakes competitive cheerleading for kids. Cheerleading coach Alisha Dunlap expects perfection from the kids in her gym. This pressure is just fine for the competitive moms who admit that they’re living through their children. But when two moms feud, one of their little girls is pushed to the brink.

A White House Christmas: First Families Remember, special at 8pm on NBC

– NBC celebrates the holidays with unprecedented access to the most famous home in America in A White House Christmas: First Families Remember. Hosted by multiple Emmy Award winner Meredith Vieira, the special takes a look at Christmases past and present with 10 presidential families over the last 50 years, featuring interviews with First Lady Michelle Obama and former First Ladies Laura Bush, Hillary Rodham Clinton, Barbara Bush and Rosalynn Carter. Several First Children also share their holiday memories, including Barbara Bush, Jenna Bush Hager, Chelsea Clinton, Dorothy Bush Koch, Michael Reagan, Amy Carter, Susan Ford Bales, Tricia Nixon Cox, Julie Nixon Eisenhower, Lynda Johnson Robb and Luci Baines Johnson. Before Mrs. Obama announced this year’s holiday theme, “Joy to All,” Vieira went behind the scenes with staff and volunteers to find out what it takes to prepare for the 2012 holiday season and thousands of visitors each day. The plans include the decoration of over 50 trees inside the White House, and helping the White House pastry kitchen to unveil their elaborate gingerbread house creations.
