The summer is almost here and primetime is exploding with season finales, which means there’s not much in the way of premieres this week…except for The Bachelorette and So You Think You Can Dance! We’ll finally get to see SYTYCD put into action it’s much-talked about exciting new format featuring All-Star contestants from past seasons! In less exciting news, the cancelled FOX series about reincarnation Past Life begins burning off the remaining episodes this Friday. That’s right, the networks are getting lazy and giving us the second and third-rate crap that’s too low-performing for sweeps. So I recommend re-watching many of the explosive season finales, Grey’s Anatomy and Lost, that captivated us to the point of tears, screams, and anxiety.

The pair will also be awarded the Academy of Country Music’s Milestone Award in recognition of their stellar career and for the most wins of any artist in ACM’s history.

Monday May 24th

The Bachelorette, 2-hour season premiere at 9pm on ABC

– Fan favorite Ali Fedotowsky from last season’s Bachelor is the Bachelorette for season 6! Following on the heels of the most highly-watched and dramatic season of The Bachelor in years, Ali is back to find love. The previews hint at one of the men doing something absurdly ridiculous and maybe even illegal (?) out of crazy love for her.

Saving Grace, second half of season 3 returns at 10pm on TNT

– We return to find Grace having to make a life-altering decision as the series approaches its final episodes.

Thursday May 27th

So You Think You Can Dance, 2-hour season premiere at 8pm on FOX

– The time I have been waiting for all spring is here…Season 7 of the best reality dance competition on TV has finally arrived! SYTYCD has come back to the summers where it belongs! The season premiere kicks off with auditions featuring favorite SYTYCD judge and choreographer Mia Michaels! Season 7 looks to be the most exciting and technically superior season to date with the introduction of an entirely new format that features 10 contestants paired with All-Stars from past seasons as their professional partners. The higher quality of dancing that this format will yield is unquestionable. Besides, who doesn’t want to see our favorites from past seasons that amazed us time and again in new routines?! I described all the details about the drastic and brilliant changes here! Meet the All-Stars here!

Friday May 28th

Past Life, second half of season 1 returns at 8pm on FOX

– Fox burns off the remaining episodes of this canceled series about reincarnation. The show revolves around a psychologist and former detective who work together to solve past crimes. People who experience “déjà vu” are remembering something, usually a crime from their past life that is haunting them, but of which they have no recollection. By tapping into the buried memories of their former self, they can uncover old mysteries and lay the spirit of their past life to rest.
