Hatfields & McCoys, 2-hour miniseries premiere at 9pm on History

- It’s the true American story of a legendary family feud—one that spanned decades and nearly launched a war between Kentucky and West Virginia. Hatfields & McCoys, a three-part miniseries, showcases an all-star cast led by Kevin Costner and Bill Paxton. It chronicles a clash of clans that inspired passion, vengeance, courage, sacrifice, crimes and accusations, while forever transforming the two families and the region they lived in. The Hatfield-McCoy saga begins with Devil Anse Hatfield (Costner) and Randall McCoy (Paxton). Close friends and comrades until near the end of the Civil War, they return to their neighboring homes—Hatfield in West Virginia, McCoy just across the Tug River border in Kentucky—to increasing tensions, misunderstandings and resentments that soon explode into all-out warfare between their families. As hostilities grow, friends, neighbors and outside forces join the fight, bringing the two states to the brink of another civil war.

Hemmingway & Gellhorn, TV movie from 9 to 11:40pm on HBO

- HBO’s new big screen-worthy movie recounts one of the greatest romances of the last century – the passionate love affair and tumultuous marriage of literary master Ernest Hemingway (Clive Owen) and the beautiful, trailblazing war correspondent Martha Gellhorn (Nicole Kidman) – as it follows the adventurous writers through the Spanish Civil War and beyond. As witnesses to history, they covered all the great conflicts of their time; but the war they couldn’t survive was the war between themselves.

Single Ladies, season premiere at 9pm on VH1

- Single Ladies is a modern, sexy series set in the world of Atlanta fashion, music, and celebrity that will constantly explore which woman has the right approach to relationships. Following star Stacey Dash’s surprising departure from the show after the 1st season, Denise Vasi (All My Children) joined the cast as Raquel, a businesswoman who happens to be friends with Keisha. Keisha (LisaRaye McCoy) is a former video dancer just looking for a rich man to keep her in style. April (Charity Shea,) has supposedly found the perfect man and the perfect marriage – but is learning that marriage isn’t necessarily a happy ending. Recent DWTS finalist and professional Latin hottie William Levy signed on for a guest stint as Raquel’s love interest.

The Catalina, series premiere at 8pm on The CW

- With a nightlife as hot as the sun-soaked beaches, CW’s new reality series centers on the young, wild staff of The Catalina hotel in Miami’s South Beach. Forming their own dysfunctional family unit, the fun-loving group works hard during the day, while at night, they party even harder than their guests. The show will follow the group as they manage their relationships with each other, while working hard to create a fun, exciting experience for the guests at the hotel. When the group works and parties together, drama always ensues. The two pool bartenders Nancy and Kris used to date and still have to work together – which causes jealousy when Kris flirts with fellow staff and hotel guests. Bartender David does his best to fit in with his fellow co-workers, while pool cocktail server DeDe often serves as the voice of reason with the group.

Big Brooklyn Style, series premiere at 10pm on TLC

- Big Brooklyn Style follows husband and wife business owners Lisa and Jim Dolan as they attempt to redefine the plus-size shopping experience through their Brooklyn clothing store, Lee Lee’s Valise. Each episode focuses on three different customers and their shopping experience at the store. Through laughs, drama, and some tears, Lisa and her team seek to transform not only their customers’ wardrobe, but their outlook on life and themselves. Ultimately, Lisa’s goal with Lee Lee’s Valise is for women of all shapes and sizes to feel confident, fashionable, and sexy.

Workaholics, season premiere at 10:30pm on Comedy Central

- Workaholics follows Blake, Adam and Ders, three friends who work together as telemarketers from 9 to 5, live together from 5 to 9 and party together 24/7. Whether they’re at their house in Rancho Cucamonga or getting ready to rage at a Renaissance Faire, the guys find trouble wherever they go.

Wednesday, May 30th

Melissa & Joey, season premiere at 8pm on ABC Family

- This returning comedy starring Melissa Joan Hart and Joey Lawrence, follows Mel, the grown-up former wild child of a political family, who is now a local politician herself. When her sister ends up in prison and her brother-in-law flees after a scandal hits, Mel must take responsibility for her teenaged niece, Lennox, and nephew, Ryder. With Mel spread too thin to manage by herself, help comes in the unlikely form of Joe, who moves in and becomes the family’s “manny.”

Dogs in the City, series premiere at 8pm on CBS

- CBS’s new summer reality series stars New York City dog guru Justin Silver, a master at resolving issues between canines and their owners – no matter whose behavior is at fault. In Manhattan, Justin Silver is known as the “go-to guy” for all things dog-related. He has a creative and instinctive ability to connect with his canine customers while solving dilemmas for their two-legged masters. In each episode, he meets with clients who present a range of relationship problems, lifestyle changes or domestic issues – from a couple looking to move in together, but she’s terrified of his golden retriever, to a recently divorced couple whose dog is having a rough time adjusting to joint custody. Justin gets as imaginative as necessary to reach a satisfying resolution, often finding that the owners can be a special breed themselves.

Breaking Pointe, series premiere at 8pm on The CW

Breaking Pointe rips back the curtain on the inner workings of elite Salt Lake City Ballet Company, Ballet West. It obliterates the notion that ballet is a dated art form and shatters pre-conceived stereotypes about the men and women who give their lives to the world of ballet. Beneath their perfect exteriors, these dancers have the toughness of linebackers, punishing their bodies to achieve perfection and dancing through injuries and pain.

The 2012 Billboard Music Awards, live awards show from 8 to 11pm on ABC

- Modern Family’s Ty Burrell and Julie Bowen host the star-studded event featuring live performances from Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Usher, Carrie Underwood, Chris Brown, Kelly Clarkson, LMFAO, CeeLo Green, Linkin Park, the Wanted, Nelly Furtado, Carly Rae Jepsen and more. It will also include a show-closing presentation of Billboard’s Icon Award to Stevie Wonder, who will then perform with Alicia Keys. There will also be tributes to recording artists who left us this year: Whitney Houston, the Beastie Boys’ Adam “MCA” Yauch, and, most recently, disco queen Donna Summer.

Keeping Up With The Kardashians, season premiere at 9pm on E!

- Season 7 of E!’s hit reality show premieres amidst recent news that the Kardashian family’s famous Hidden Hills home was sold and demolished. This season will focus on Kourtney’s pregnancy, Khloe’s husband Lamar Odom’s basketball woes and even Kim’s flour bombing. The season will also take fans on a family vacation and talk about the new love in Kim’s life, rapper Kanye West. We can expect West to make a number of appearances but Kim has said it won’t be nearly as revealing and salacious as some viewers might hope.

Mrs. Eastwood & Company, series premiere at 10pm on E!

- E!’s reality lineup is getting a little dose of Oscar Hollywood with this new reality show starring Clint Eastwood’s second wife of 16 years, Dina, and Clint’s 2 teenage children, Dina’s daughter and stepdaughter, as well as some other colorful characters, including a six-man vocal group Dina discovered in South Africa called Overtone. Clint will make appearances in two episodes

Hip Hop Squares, series premiere at 11pm on MTV2

- Remember Hollywood Squares? If not, it doesn’t even matter. Hip Hop Squares takes that classic game show you may have just Googled to a whole new level, by remixing it with hip hop’s heavyweights and their fans. Hosted by Peter Rosenberg, Hip Hop Squares will bring together comedy’s coolest cats, ace athletes and pop-culture personalities, so keep your eyes on the squares for the likes of Nick Cannon, Bam Margera, Kat Graham, DJ Khaled, Ghostface Killah, Fat Joe, Mac Miller, and many more.

So You Think You Can Dance, 2-hour season premiere at 8pm on FOX

- America’s favorite summer series, So You Think You Can Dance, has kept viewers amazed and inspired as talented dancers skilled in everything from Hip Hop, Krumping and Popping to Salsa, Quickstep and Jive compete to be named America’s Favorite Dancer. For the first time, the show’s 9th season will deprive us of an additional hour of SYTYCD every week as they eliminate the results show and will instead present results the following week during the performance show America’s Best Dance Crew style…sadness :(

Duets, 2-hour series premiere at 8pm on ABC

- We’re thinking the expression “it takes two” is totally true when in comes to Duets. This one-of-a-kind singing competition takes the singing Superstars out from behind the judges’ table and onto the stage! Hey, that ‘s where we love to see them most anyway, isn’t it? Superstars Kelly Clarkson, John Legend, Jennifer Nettles and Robin Thicke individually set out on a journey across America looking for undiscovered talent worthy to be their protégés. Ultimately, each Superstar will choose two singers to be their duet partners. Together, the Superstar and their protégé will take the stage each week and perform in front of a live studio audience. In the end, only one duet will be at the top of the charts and the winning amateur will receive a recording contract with Hollywood Records. TV personality Quddus, best known from his days as the host of MTV’s Total Request Live, hosts this groundbreaking new singing series. Hmm, this show is stealing quite a few things from NBC’s The Voice: 2 of the guest mentors and an affinity for TRL hosts.

Men at Work, series premiere at 10pm on TBS

- Men at Work follows the misadventures of four buddies who work together at a magazine. Danny Masterson plays the recently dumped Milo, whose friends are determined to help him get back in the game. James Lesure is Gibbs, a photographer and successful ladies man. Michael Cassidy plays Tyler, a features writer who brings a dose of style and sophistication to the group. Adam Busch is Neal, a somewhat nebbish reporter and the only one in the group with a steady girlfriend. Together, the four serve as each other’s wingmen as they help each other navigate work, friendship and women.

Rookie Blue, season premiere at 10pm on ABC

- Five young and ambitious rookie cops continue to navigate the emotional trials and tribulations of their professional and personal lives. 2 years ago, these rookies hit the streets for the first time with their training officers and learned how to walk the thin blue line. At the end of Season 2, Andy McNally and Sam Swarek were suspended – and no, that doesn’t mean they get to take a romantic vacation together. Season 3 will see the lovebirds forced to be apart as a condition of their suspension. The road to normalcy will be explored this season.

Scandalicious, series premiere at 8pm on Logo

- Logo’s new series reimagines the classic countdown show with attitude, featuring commentary from comedians, experts and tastemakers on topics that are frivolous, but addicting. You will not walk away any smarter from an episode of Scandalicious, but you’ll definitely walk away thoroughly entertained.

Cupcake Champions, season premiere at 8pm on Food Network

- Cupcake Wars host Justin Willman continues his hosting duties in the special series Cupcake Champions. In this series, previous winners of Cupcake Wars return to Food Network to compete in the ultimate baking competition for the chance to win $50,000, the opportunity to showcase their cupcakes at the winning gig and, most importantly, the title of Cupcake Champion!

Next Food Network Star, season premiere from 9 to 11pm on Food Network

- Now entering its eighth season, the show has completely reinvented itself and is “actually a different show” according to host Giada de Laurentils. This season, she cohosts Bobby Flay and Alton Brown will each mentor a team of aspiring TV chefs through challenges including the premiere’s restaurant-wars battle. Returning judges Bob Tuschman and Susie Fogelson, as well as a rotating set of guests, will help decide the winner, but not before an Apprentice-style boardroom face-off between the mentors. Don’t expect the heat to stay in the kitchen.

America’s Got Talent, season premiere at 8pm on NBC

- AGT returns this summer with the hottest performers from across the country ready to compete in the blockbuster reality show’s seventh season. The live shows will originate from the New York Tri-State area this summer. This year, outspoken, unedited radio personality, television host and author Howard Stern joins the experienced and talented judge dais alongside comedian, TV host and producer Howie Mandel and daytime TV host, reality producer and music manager Sharon Osbourne. Actor, producer and comedian Nick Cannon returns as host. With the talent search open to acts of all ages, America’s Got Talent has brought the variety format back to the forefront of American culture by showcasing performers from across the country. The series is a true celebration of the American spirit, featuring a colorful array of hopeful stars, including singers, dancers, comedians, contortionists, impressionists, jugglers, magicians and ventriloquists, all vying for their chance to strut and perform on stage hoping to win America’s hearts – and the $1 million prize.

The Bachelorette, season premiere at 9:30pm on ABC

- Emily Maynard, the beautiful, sweet, young mom who captured America’s and Brad Womack’s heart on the 15th season of The Bachelor, finally thought she had her happy ending. She accepted Brad’s proposal and was looking forward to walking down the aisle. Unfortunately her relationship with Brad ended, along with her dream of moving to Austin with her daughter, Ricki, and starting a family. But Emily is ready for her luck to change and to bring her the love she so richly deserves. It’s hard to meet men as a single mom, but Emily will have her pick of 25 bachelors when she gets a second opportunity to find love starring in the eighth edition of The Bachelorette. Emily, 25, led a tragic but fulfilling life before meeting Brad. In 2004 she became engaged to famed NASCAR driver and team owner Ricky Hendrick. Sadly Hendrick died in a plane crash in October, 2004, leaving his fiancée pregnant with their child. The apple of Emily’s eye and legacy of their love, Josephine Riddick Ricki Hendrick was born June 29, 2005. So, in other words, the girl has commitment issues slash nobody can really live up to the love she had for her dead fiancé.

Pregnant in Heels, season premiere at 10pm on Bravo

- This docu-drama follows maternity concierge, fashion designer, and pregnancy guru, Rosie Pope as she guides expecting mothers through the joys and perils of preparing to have a baby. Pope owns two high fashion maternity clothing boutiques -– one in Manhattan and the other in Santa Monica — and runs MomPrep, the premier training academy for mothers-to-be. With the help of her LT and new exec Alison, Rosie runs her business, designs the clothing for her line, and takes on clients on a case-by-case basis to help them with all their bizarre baby needs. Each week, viewers will join Pope and her team as they tackle two new clients and their pregnancy dilemmas. Rosie Pope is the maternity concierge to the most affluent, expectant mothers in New York City, and she can tackle anything -– from planning a home birth to helping a single mom-to-be date during her eighth month of pregnancy, from throwing a babymoon in the Dominican Republic to rigging a paranoid client’s house with video cameras to spy on her nanny.

In three thrilling new episodes, Sherlock and Watson team up to solve a dizzying array of crimes with his signature deductive reasoning and his stunning lack of social grace. From Belgravia mansions to windswept moors, the dynamic, if dysfunctional duo battles diabolical — and greatly-anticipated — villains, including a computer-savvy arch-villain who wants to rule the world and a hound from the hinges of Hell.

The Comedy Awards, special awards show from 9 to 11pm on Comedy Central

- The awards show, now in its second year, is dedicated to celebrating the art of comedy with an historic, one-night-only celebration honoring the most talented writers, directors, actors and stand-ups, who provided the laugh track to our lives this past year. Modern Family, “Bridesmaids,” 30 Rock, “Crazy, Stupid, Love.” and Louis C.K. lead the nominations for 2012 and fans can vote for “Breakout Performer of the Year.” Robin Williams is this year’s recipient of the prestigious “Stand-Up Icon” award and Don Rickles will be honored with the “Johnny Carson Award For Comedic Excellence,” both of which will be presented during this year’s ceremony.

United Stats of America, series premiere at 10pm on History

- Here’s a stat for you: The average American male is on earth for about 900 months, and in that time he will spend almost two months shaving, roughly five months on hold, and another five months complaining about his boss. He’ll also spend a whopping 198 months watching TV… but only two months having sex. Randy and Jason Sklar were born a statistic: They’re identical twins and stand-up comedians who also just happen to have an obsession with numbers and an amazing knack for finding the incredible stories behind the stats. The wisecracking brothers are the hosts of United Stats of America, which reveals the stories behind the most interesting and surprising statistics in American history—stories that tell us more about who we are as individuals and as a nation. Randy and Jason bring their irreverent brand of humor to locations across the country, uncovering hidden facts about America and Americans while engaging in stunts and experiments that help them uncover the story behind the stats. The Sklars will also utilize cutting-edge computer technology and visually stunning infographics to help bring these numbers to life. Episodes explore the stats that help us understand how much money we make (and what we spend it on), how long we will live (and how we will die), what we do with our free time (and how to make more of it) and a whole lot more.

The Devils Ride, series premiere at 10pm on Discovery

- It’s a bike club. It’s a brotherhood. It’s The Devils Ride. For the first time Discovery goes inside the world of motorcycle clubs with the members of San Diego’s Laffing Devils. The Devils Ride sports a diverse crew, but one bonded by a commitment to each other and the club. Meet Laffing Devils president Gipsy, who must balance the club’s growing ranks with pressure from older members to maintain the status quo. An ex-Marine who served in Iraq, Gipsy credits the club for helping him deal with the emotional scars of war. Then there’s club vice-president Billy the Kid, who waits in the wings wondering if he’ll have the chance to lead the Laffing Devils. And younger member Snubz breaks all the biker stereotypes with his degree in finance and a full-time corporate job. The Devils Ride finds the Laffing Devils not only in open conflict internally, but also at risk of losing their homebase. The Laffing Devils’ unofficial headquarters is the auto body shop owned by fellow member Hawkster, but police pressure might force the club to find a new home. Moving is going to cost the club money, so Gipsy seeks out security work for the Laffing Devils guarding a liquor store in a very dangerous part of town. Will their new responsibilities pit the club against one another?

Around the World in 80 Plates, series premiere at 10pm on Bravo

- Renowned chefs Cat Cora and Curtis Stone host Bravo’s new culinary/travel competition featuring cringe-inducing food challenges a la The Amazing Race. Around the World in 80 Plates takes culinary competition to the next level as 12 chefs travel across the globe testing their skills and determination. In each episode, the contestants will travel to a different international city where they will learn the local customs, cultures, and cuisines as they participate in a gauntlet of culinary challenges. Ultimately, they will face-off in a kitchen takeover where they will not only recreate, but reinvent the menus for world-renowned restaurants and their demanding owners.

Common Law, series premiere at 10pm on USA

- USA’s new dramedy is about two cops with a problem – each other. Despite their differences, they are incredible detectives. When things come to a head during their “seven-year itch” as partners, their captain forces them into couples’ therapy to save their “work marriage.” Despite being an odd couple, Travis Marks (Michael Ealy, “Think Like A Man”) and Wes Mitchell (Warren Kole) are incredible at what they love most – enforcing the law – and have a seven-year track record as the LAPD’s best detectives in the Robbery-Homicide Division. As their constant bickering begins to have a major impact on their work, their new-age captain (Jack McGee) sends them to couples’ therapy to bring back the flame in their relationship. Tough-as-nails therapist Dr. Ryan (Sonya Walger) is brought in to help them understand and resolve their conflicts and confront their demons in order to enhance their ability to work together solving crimes.

The Half Hour, series premiere at 11pm on Comedy Central

- Comedy Central is shining the spotlight on some of the funniest and most unique comedians out there today with a new stand-up series filmed in Boston. Join Joe Mande, Theo Von, Garfunkel and Oates, and more for their first solo specials, every Friday night.

Mom Caves, series premiere at 8:30pm on HGTV

- Dad’s got his man cave, the kids have their playroom — even the dog has a kennel! But what about Mom? It’s time she had a space of her own, and don’t even think about the kitchen! She wants a mom cave. We’ll design and build the ultimate space for Mom, a place where she can kick back and relax with her friends or family and do what she likes to do best. Mom Caves is hosted by designer Matt Muenster and Beth Stern, who has firsthand knowledge in this area as the proud owner of two mom caves: one in New York and a two-story version in her new home in the Hamptons. Both of Beth’s mom caves are dressing rooms where she chills out with friends and gets ready for big nights out, and they’re off-limits to her shock jock husband, Howard. Mom Caves will incorporate great cutting-edge design with the fun and glamour of Beth’s world as we celebrate the women in our lives.
